Tucker Hacking Jr.
Resident of Walnut Creek
Tucker Terrence Hacking Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the age of 20. Tucker was born in New Jersey and moved to California when he was 2. He was a California boy through and through. He was an expert surfer, skier, skater, golfer, water polo player, swimmer and baseball player. He was pursuing a teaching degree at Diablo Valley Community College and worked as an elementary school instructor teaching math and science through a lego building program. He was loved by his students - he was the fun guy. Tucker was the Pied Piper, always coming up with the great ideas of what to do next. He is survived by his father Tucker Sr, his mother Martha and his brother Travis.
Memorial service for Tucker is at St. John Vianney Church in Walnut Creek on Saturday, February 4th at 12:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Tucker Hacking - Just Have Fun Memorial Scolarship Fund at Play-Well Outreach, a non-profit organization, which will give underpriviledged elementary school children scholarships to math and science based Lego building programs in after school classes. Dear Martha, Tucker, and Travis,
I remember that sweet little infant,
which is the only time I have seen him.
This is Paula V. Brown, Martha's cousin
in North Carolina. It saddens me that your family is going though this difficult time. I was never able to have kids, and I can not imagine the hurt and loss you must feel. I have added your family to my prayer list daily.
Please know you are in my thoughts.

Dear Martha, Tucker and Travis - Words cannot describe how deeply saddened we are for the sudden and unexpected passing of our "Little Tucker". He was an outstanding young man and had it not been for Tucker, I am not sure TJ or Shannon would have learned how to ride a bike. We wish we could give you Huge Hugs right now. We love you, The Magpiong's

My son was signed up to be in Tucker's Lego class, but missed the first day of class because he was sick. He never met Tucker, but I have heard wonderful things about him. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please know he touched the hearts of many.

Dearest Hacking Family~my heartfelt and sincere condolence with the unexpected loss of Tucker Jr. I remember 'Scoobs' running around The North Face office with his lil' brother Travis, many years ago. Seems Tucker Jr. has made a big impact with his presence and lives he has touched, a great accomplishment in such a short time on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with you, for strength during this very difficult time. His memory will forever be in your hearts for always. Sincerely, Luz Rule

Dear Martha, Tucker, & Travis,
Our hearts break for your loss. We will always remember Tucker running around with the sun burnt nose, crooked smile, and twinkle in his eye. Tucker had a heart of gold. He was a kid any parent loved and all kids wanted as a friend, a true good soul. He will be truly missed. We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Martha, Tucker and Travis - Having worked so closely with Tucker, and all of you as part of the Walnut Creek Little League program, especially the Youth Umpire program, I offer my heartfelt sympathies on your loss. There are not many young men around like Tucker, he gave more than he got day after day. I too am saddened.
