Lottie K. Bickel

COSHOCTON: Lottie Katherine Bickel, 98, of Coshocton, passed away at 10:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Autumn Extended Care Facility where she had been a patient for over three and one-half years.

Born February 12, 1913 in Newcomerstown, she was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Anna Myrtle (Grewell) Harding.

Before retiring in 1975, she was a factory worker at the former Bates Metal Products in Port Washington.

She was a member of Kings Methodist Church and a former member of the American Legion Post 431 Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose Lodge #1337 all in Newcomerstown. She loved to read and play cards.

On August 14, 1950, she married Ross Bickel who preceded her in death on October 6, 1991.

There are five generations of survivors including a daughter, Inez Marie Stout of Coshocton; three grandchildren, James McGinnis of Newcomerstown, Mike (Lynn) McGinnis of Fresno and Irene Linn of Coshocton; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, a great-great-great-granddaughter; several step-children including, Mary Ladene Rothenstein of Navarre; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Ruth Josephine (Leo) Becherucci of Canton.

In addition to her parents and husband; Lottie was preceded in death by a grandson, George McGinnis; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Lorin Harding; two half-brothers, Earl Harding and Paul Harding.

Graveside Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery with Lloyd Tenney, Minister officiating. There were no calling hours.

Memoriums may be made in Lottie's name to the donor's favorite charity. Free Funeral Home, Coshocton assisted the family with arrangements.
