James M. "Jim" Dabney was born June 15, 1936 in Shepherd, Texas and passed away February 1, 2013 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 76. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents Hermis "Runt" and Clevie Newman Dabney. He is survived by his wife Louise Dabney of Conroe, Texas, by his son James "Jamie" Dabney Jr. of Shepherd, Texas, by his two daughters; Libby Wilkerson and husband Johnny of Hydro, Oklahoma and Evelyn Park and husband David of Willis, Texas, by his grandchildren; Randy Wilkerson of Meridan, Mississippi, Tim Wilkerson of Moore, Oklahoma, Jason Park of Conroe, Texas, Jeremy Park and wife Christi of Conroe, Texas, Brett Dabney of Conroe, Texas, and Krista Dabney of Conroe, Texas, and his great grandchildren; Ashley Wilkerson, Paige Wilkerson, Cameron Wilkerson, and Kaylynn Park. The family would like to give special thanks to Cindy Fowler,RN and Mixi Grande, HHA of Silverado Hospice for all their loving care during Jim's last few months. Pallbearers for the service will be; David Park, Jason Park, Jeremy Park, Tim Wilkerson, Glenn Higdon, and Phil Eernisse. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Joe Goss, Judson Jarboe, Johnny Springer, Randy Wilkerson, Hugh Don Lytle, Tommy Lytle, and John McAviney. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Monday February 4, 2013 from 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be in the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 12:30pm with Bro.
