Betty Allen Obituary

Betty Joyce Allen passed away on November 16, 2014, in Montgomery, Texas, at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 22 days old. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 24, 1926, the daughter of Delia & Clarence Balez. She graduated from Aldine high school, was then employed at Shell Oil until she and her husband started C.W. Allen Plumbing Company of Houston, Texas. In 1974 they made the move to Montgomery, Texas. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas and an active member of the Altar Society for many years. Her love for her family transcended a lifetime. She was a true teacher of faith, love and strength to all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty gave a most valiant fight for life, but in the end she was ready to be with the Lord. She was predeceased by her parents, her sons, Derrell "Bubby" Allen and Richard "Ricky" Allen and son-in-law, Dennis Sehorn. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cecil William Allen; sister, Evelyn Shropshire; daughter, Patricia "Tricia" Sehorn; daughter, Pamela "Pam" Pizzino; daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Cartwright and her husband, Joe Cartwright; granddaughter Tammy Tipps and her husband, Lester Tipps, grandson, Kevin Allen; granddaughter, Sherry Dolejsi and her husband, David Dolejsi; grandson, Chris Sehorn and his wife, Ann Sehorn; grandson, Shane Allen; granddaughter, Megan Allen; grandson, Brandon Pizzino and his wife Wendy Harrod Pizzino; granddaughter, Brianna Pizzino; granddaughter, Jeannine Gonzales and her husband, Jonathan Gonzales; grandson, Chance Cartwright; grandson, Shannon Cartwright; great grandchildren: Hailey Allen, Emily Allen, Trevor Dolejsi, Tyler Dolejsi, Justin Wischnewsky and Nicholas Wischnewsky; and numerous other family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas, with a rosary in the chapel at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas. She will be laid to rest following the services at Cartwright Cemetery.
