Fred, Dad, Poppa, Big Hasquale lived 88 good life filled years. He has gone on to join the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Betty. He has left behind to remember him the pride and joy of his life, his dog Bruiser, his brother Don, sons and daughters, Keith, Eric, Barbara, and Carol. As well as 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a huge extended family and set of dear friends.
Born and raised in Dequincy Louisiana, he got his start in the oil patch as a Doodle-Bugger/Geophysicist, starting out in Yoakum Texas and traveling throughout Texas and Louisiana and then happily retiring in Conroe in 1987.
Fred spent some of the last several years of his life in independent living in The Woodlands, TX, where he enjoyed meeting new friends and attending happy hour. He was often seen traveling to a neighborhood Mexican food restaurant in his motor chair where he would many times meet his friends.
There will be a wake to tell stories and celebrate Fred's life at Rico's Mexican Grille at Aldenbridge, in the Woodlands, Sunday April 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m.
He lived a long full life and enjoyed it. We will all miss him and know he was loved.

I knew Fred as "Compadre", he was a truly wonderful man. Never a dull moment with him, smart as a tack, and had the wit to match. I can still see him riding in his motor chair, whizzing past the Kroger on his way to Rico's. You will be missed Compadre, prayers to the family!

I had the pleasure of knowing Fred through my Therapy Pet Pals visits to Buckner Villas with my Great Dane, Skylar. Fred loved Skylar's visits and would give him treats and tell stories about his beloved little dog, Bruiser. On our last visit with Fred on March 17th, he spoke of his declining health and seemed to be at peace. Skylar and I will miss our visits with Fred. He was a wonderful man. My condolences to the family.

I went to high school with Eric in Lafayette, LA and only met Mr. Hall once, back in the early 1970's. Eric, my heart goes out to you and your family. Please email me when you can. [email protected]

Oh, what a wonderful gentleman. When I first met Mr. Hall, he would be taking Bruiser out for a short walk as he didn't leave Betty's side for long. I commented that he was so sweet to take such good care of Betty. He replied "Thats what I'm supposed to do, isn't it". We became close friends and I will miss his friendship. He was a "great guy".
