Jeanette Cecil "Jean" Frank, 81, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed into eternal rest on May 25, 2016. Jean had great strength, tenacity and determination along with her respect for God, and love of her family. Jean was born in Cleveland, Texas on August 19, 1934 to Ellis Monroe and Ella Mae Allen Pope. She was the third born of seven children (two boys and five girls). On November 12, 1950, Jean married Edgar George "Dick" Frank Jr. and in 1957 when her youngest children twin boys were two years old she and Dick moved to Conroe, Texas where she remained until her death.
Jean was a role model for women with a fierce sense of independence and had a deep love for family. She had an unconditional love for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many nieces' and nephews and great nieces' and nephews. She embodied motherhood and duty to family while being a trailblazer for women of industry. Jean began her long career in the oilfield business at Olsen Engineering, Skytop Brewster, Brandt Industries, and Texas Oil Tools, retiring from National Oilwell Varco. She was dearly loved by her co -workers and her employers throughout her career. She worked in purchasing in the petro chemical and oilfield business and paid her own salary by her knowledge of purchasing and the money she saved her companies due to that knowledge. When she retired she was truly missed not only by her co-workers but by her employers across the board. She was loved by many.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 63 years and her sons Michael Wayne Frank and James Perry "Jamie" Frank, her granddaughter, Amber Lynn Frank, and two sisters, Dorothy Ann Tiemann and Rose Marie Kelly and her brother, Sammie Gene Pope. She is survived by her sons, Gary Lee Frank, Russell Glynn Frank and his wife, Terrie and Ronald Lynn Frank; grandchildren, Heather Denise Frank, Amanda Jane Frank, Adam Michael Frank, Casey Lee Frank, Tara Marie Frank and Maeghan Breanne Frank; great grandchildren, Lilly Renea Frank, Skyler Ray Frank and Jaydlyn Renee Frank; two sisters, Clata McCarver and Glenda Jean Blanchette; and one brother, Ellis Sidney Pope.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Stephen Babalola officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M. Pallbearers: Jerry Collins, Chuck Bergfield, Red Blanchette, Michael McCarver, Tara Frank and Maeghan Frank.
