Adele Jordan Stout was born on Feb. 8, 1931 in Oakhurst, TX., to G.O. and Ethel Adams Jordan. She entered her eternal home on May 26, 2012 in Conroe, Tx., at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James E. Stout. Adele was a longtime and very active member of the Mims Baptist Church in Conroe. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and Gordon Lewis of Tupelo, MS., and Debbie and Jack Slott of Willis, Tx., and by her grandchildren: Hailey and Dustin Dobraski of Willis, Tx., Lori and Brent Slott of New Waverly, Tx., Stuart Slott of Huntsville, Tx., Jill and Jeremy Varnell of Dallas, Tx., Hugh Lewis of Austin, Tx., Clay Lewis of Dallas, Tx., and seven great grandchildren. A celebration of Adele's life will be held Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Mims Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Kendrick as officiant. Burial will follow at Conroe Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 29, 2012 from 5-7 pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe. Those serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons which include the following: Hugh Lewis, Clay Lewis, Brent Slott, Stuart Slott, Dustin Dobraski, and Jeremy Varnell. Honoring her as honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Shoe, Richie Foster, Sammy Massey, John Patrick, Mutt Minton, James Griffin, Larry Carnes, Forest Williams, and David Peck.
