Andrea Johnson passed away Saturday, February 13th, 2016. The daughter of Patrick and Gay Lynne Terrell, she was born Andrea Darlene Terrell in 1977. She lived most of her childhood years in Madisonville, Texas and graduated from Huntsville High School. She married Doug Johnson and they had two sons. She was employed by Conroe Independent School District's Police Department where she had worked since 1997. She was a resident of Montgomery, Texas and attended church at "The Ark" in Conroe.

She was currently completing studies and soon to begin student teaching as she neared her goal of becoming an accredited teacher of elementary school children.

She is survived by her two sons, Fletcher and Prescott, her maternal grandmother, Georgia Darlene Collard of Madisonville, TX, her mother of Madisonville, TX, brother, Andrew Terrell of Huntsville, TX, sister, Leigh Anna Terrell of Bryan, TX, brother Ricky and wife Cindy Terrell, of Kirbyville, TX, nieces, Patricia Terrell of Bryan, TX, Katherine Terrell of Kirbyville, TX, and Robyn and Isaac Sheppard, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father.

Andrea founded The Woodlands / Montgomery chapter of "The Well Armed Woman". Andrea was an avid shooter and firearms instructor holding ratings as an NRA pistol instructor, Range Safety Officer, Texas License to Carry Instructor, and Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor. Andrea believed deeply in the empowerment and development of women as leaders. She served as the regional Family Readiness Coordinator during times of military deployment by her husband, guiding and mentoring other families dealing with deployment issues. In 2006 she represented Texas at the National Family Readiness Group Conference. Andrea loved to travel and spent time traveling throughout The US and Europe.

Andrea had envisioned having a "shooters send-off" in her honor at time of death. A memorial service to accommodate that desire is planned on March 13, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Saddle River Ranch Range located at 4280 FM 1488, Conroe, Texas 77384.

The family requests donations, in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to The Boy Scouts of America ( or CISD Police Department's Children in Santa's Dreams program.
