The Guest Book is expired.

Anna Emilie Goins, 85, passed away on October 10, 2013 at The Forum of The Woodlands. She was born in Ober Mörlen, Germany on August 21, 1928, the youngest of four children. She lived in Independence, MO for many years and worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Following her retirement from the IRS after 21 years of service, she settled in The Woodlands in 1992 to be near family.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Primm, of Willis, TX and her sister, Resi Hawel of Frankfurt, Germany. She is also survived by her grandson, Michael Hamilton and wife, Lyssa of Boerne, TX, and her granddaughter, Aimee Kennard and husband, Darin of Spring, TX, and great-grandchildren Zane, Brek and Saylor Hamilton and Coleman and Cameryn Hartis.

She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands, and was involved in the local groups Love Lighters and Mended Hearts. She was an active member for many years of The Woodlands Athletic Center (WAC) and it was there that she developed her passion for swimming. Through these and her other involvements, she built long-lasting friendships that she held so dear.

She will always be remembered for her gentle voice, bright smile and uncanny ability to make a new friend in every circumstance. She will be missed by so many.

A memorial service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank all of the physicians and medical staff for their help and support.
