Anna May Mastrangelo went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 23, 2016 in Cleveland, Texas. Anna May was born 11/7/23 in Syracuse, New York. She served her community as a nurse for more than 30 years and worked for Visiting Nurses prior to her retirement. She was also a member of Eastern Star and loved to travel. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Daisy Olmsted, as well as brother Roscoe and sisters Pearl and Jean. Also, preceding her in death were her daughter-in-law, Margaret Phelps and her son-in-law, Patrick George. Anna May is survived by her son, Robert D. Phelps, Sr. of Cleveland, TX and by her daughter, Darlene George of Westvale, NY. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Olmsted of Mallory, New York. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, including Dana Phelps and wife Paula of Conroe, TX, Veronica Phelps of Cleveland, TX, Robert D. Phelps, Jr. and wife Kendra of The Woodlands, TX, Adam Phelps and wife Angelica of Spring, TX, Eva Nichols and husband James of Cleveland, TX, Brian George and wife Melissa of Baldwinsville, NY, Trisha Hewitt of Solvay, NY, Michelle Dedrick and husband Duane of Westvale, NY, Russell Phelps and wife Teri of Scott, New York, Laura Kreisler and husband Corey of Knoxville, TN, and Tami Bannow and husband William of Knoxville, TN. She also leaves behind 33 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was well loved by her Sunday school class at Mims Baptist Church and will be dearly missed there. A memorial service is to be held at Mims on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Gene Kendrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Mims Baptist Church at 1609 Porter Road, Conroe, TX 77301.
