Anne Beatrice "Brister" Schaefer, 82, returned to her heavenly home on the evening of November 30, 2014, after a valiant battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Anne was blessed with a large and loving family that will carry on her memory and legacy. Anne is survived by: brothers, Keith Brister and WC Brister; her daughters, Sharon Henry, Deborah Guerrero, and Traci Ainsworth; her son-in-laws, John Henry, Rudy Guerrero, and Roger Ainsworth; eight grandchildren, Ramona, Joey, Diana, Mark, Misty, Albert, Mason, and Jacob and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Schaefer.

Anne was born in Garrison, Texas on September 26, 1932. She was raised in Houston and made it her home for over 70 years. She graduated from Aldine High School and stayed in close contact with her high school friends; you could find her at every reunion. She raised her three daughters in Houston and enjoyed an active career as an insurance agent and later warehouse management. After retiring, Anne moved to Montgomery in 2006 and found a home at First Baptist Church of Montgomery. Anne was very involved and active in her church. Anne loved to travel and even took a vacation traveling Europe at the age of 82. She enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and great grandchildren at family gatherings. Her vegetable and flower gardens were her favorite past time along with her much loved pets. She was a supporter of the SPCA for years.

The viewing and services for Anne will be held at First Baptist Church of Montgomery on Saturday, December 6, 2014, located at 20423 Eva Street, Montgomery, TX 77356. The viewing will start at 10a.m. and Pastor Jerry Everage will officiate the service at 11a.m. Reception will follow the service.
