Laura was born at home to Burrell Hutchison Dulany and Mary Elizabeth Heaton, March 11, 1911, in the house built by Fredrick Brautigam, Sr. in Decker Prairie years before. She was next to the youngest of 10 children.

She passed away March 25, 2012 at the age of 101 years and 14 days. Services were held at the Magnolia Church of Christ, March 28, 2012, Lonnie Ritchie officiating.

Laura graduated from the Decker Prairie School and Montgomery High School, Class of 1929. She married Rucks Winslow of Tillous Prairie, September 7, 1930. They were married for 65 years. She was a member of the Mill Creek Church of Christ from 1948 to 1957, at which time she helped found the Magnolia church.

Laura quietly passed away in the home she and her husband had shared since they moved to the Egypt community in 1936 and where they had raised their four children.

She lost her youngest child, Annie Laura Johnson, February 13, 1979; her husband, December 21, 1995; her eldest child, Mary Alice Crump, November 9, 1997 and a great-granddaughter, Allie Rose Cook, July 22, 2007. A daughter, Gladys Cook of Hearne and a son, Harold of Rogers, survive. Also 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
