Anthony "Anton" J. Swiech went to be with our loving Lord on January 12, 2016. He was born on August 10, 1933 in Willis, Texas to John and Mary Swiech. Anthony was retired from Dresser Rand and served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He is survived by his wife of 59 and 1/2 years, Dorothy; brother, Leon and wife Christine Swiech; sister, Margaret Strelec; sister, Verna Wagner and husband Anton; brother-in-laws, Phillip Wagner and Thomas "Joe" Wagner; numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Anthony enjoyed dancing, helping with bridal dances at weddings, fishing and playing dominoes. He was a volunteer at the VA Hospital for 48 years, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2917 and Tuesday Club. He was an active member of the Lindale Civic Club, St. Rose of Lima Church Men's Club, Thursday Club, an Usher and participated in the yearly bazaar and fish fry.

Heartfelt thanks go out to the family and friends for their continued support, love and prayers. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Legacy of Faith.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm, with a Rosary at 7:30pm, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, 77018. Interment will follow at Shepard Hill Cemetery in Willis, Texas.
