Archie Raymond Anderson, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 31, 2015 at the age of 77. Raymond was born on July 4, 1938 in Aldine, TX to Archie Raymond and Eddy Florence Anderson. He grew up in Aldine, TX and at age 17, moved to Willis, TX where he graduated from Willis High School in 1956. Raymond went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Business from Sam Houston State University in 1960. For over 30 years, Raymond worked in management for Sears Roebuck & Company in their credit and personnel departments. His father was a dairyman, and Raymond spent almost his entire life outside of work raising cattle and chickens. He devoted his free time to nature and loved being outdoors. He took great pride in caring for his garden and roses, and loved his animals as if they were an extension of his family.

Raymond never met a stranger and enjoyed speaking casually with whomever had time to talk. He was charismatic and will be remembered for his jovial sense of humor and his quick wit. He loved his children and was extremely proud of all they accomplished.

Raymond is survived by his sister, Linda Anderson Auld and her husband, Roy of Conroe, TX; daughter, Susan Anderson Tollett and her husband, Mike of Walpole, NH; daughter, Leah Anderson Wimberly and her husband, Brad of Austin, TX; son Eric Raymond Anderson and his wife, Shena' of Cedar Creek, TX; six grandchildren, Madison, Amelia and Archie Anderson and Cameron, Conner and Cole Tollett; niece Kristin Auld Raica and nephew Brian Auld, as well as several extended family members.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17th, 2015 in the Faith Chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Conroe located at 4308 W. Davis St., Conroe, Texas 77304. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the (http://www.alz.org/) on Raymond's behalf.
