Armand C. Bales, born in Attica, Indiana on January 12, 1936, passed away in Conroe, Texas on December 27, 2014. He graduated Attica High School in 1955, worked New York Central Railroad, and then joined and served for 2 years in the U.S. Army. After the army, Armand worked for Shell Oil Company 32 years, and then worked for McKenzie's BBQ for 8 years. He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, was an usher, and a member of "The Seekers Class." He was also a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Houston Texans.

Armand married Marie Miller in 1957, and celebrated 57 years of marriage, and together they had 4 sons. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; sons Jeff, Jerry, Jim and John; daughters-in-law Elise, Kami, Melissa, and Sherrie; 15 grandchildren; and brother Arvin Bales. Armand was preceded in death by his father Lee Roy Bales; mother Grace (Lindley) Bales, and brother Aaron Bales. Armand loved his family and friends unconditionally, and he will be missed by all.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Wednesday, December 31 from 2-3 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, with the Funeral Service beginning at 3 PM. You are invited to leave a written condolence to the family on our website at www.shmfh.com .
