Arthur Jene Tuggle, 83, of Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Jene was born December 14, 1932 in Henderson, Texas to Anson and Irene Tuggle.

Jene served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and then graduated from Sam Houston State University. He made a successful career in sales with Binney & Smith, Inc., the Crayola Company.

He never met a stranger and loved visiting with family and friends. Jene enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf and riding motorcycles most of his adult life.

Jene is survived by his loving wife, Jarvis Ustynik Tuggle of 56 years, son Rex and wife, Julie of Buda, and daughter, Renee of Austin, and by his nephew Robert and wife, Catherine from North Richland Hills, and son Chris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Dr. Chan Nguyen, the Conroe Regional Medical Center staff, doctors, especially the inpatient rehab nurses and the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice for their loving care and support.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home, 1801 E. White Oak Terrace in Conroe, Texas. Services will immediately follow.
