Arthur Otto George, IV was born April 7, 1958 in Montour Falls, NY and passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Willis, Texas. Arthur was a very loving, hardworking, caring father, husband, son, brother and little league coach. His favorite past times were hunting and fishing. Arthur was a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic whom took pride in his work. He was employed by Norman Smith Equipment Company to whom he considered family.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Arthur Otto George, III; sisters, Cheryl George and Angel Utchell; stepfather, Robert Chatman.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia George; children, Jessica Parker and husband Cory, Brandon George; mother, Normajene Chatman; brothers, Charles Chatman and wife Amy, Robert Chatman and wife Linda, Jeff Chatman, Thomas Chatman and wife Doris, Dennis Chatman and wife Jill, William Chatman and wife Rhonda, James Chatman; sisters, Khadija Tincher and husband Jim, Melinda Will; uncle, Jack Fish and wife Peggy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6 -8 p.m. at Abundant Life Church, 200 W Mink St. Willis, Texas 77378. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Abundant Life Church with Rev. Dave Stovall presiding. Internment to be held at Sam Houston Memorial (Smith Memorial Park) 10129 FM 1097 West Willis, Texas 77318. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Arthur George Memorial Fund at Woodforest National Bank 550 West Montgomery Street, Willis, Texas 77378.
