Barbara Joan Coleman Morrow, or Nana as she is known to her grandchildren, was born October 29, 1948 in Hearne, Texas and passed away August 28, 2017 in Hallettsville, Texas at the age of 68. Barbara graduated from Conroe High School in 1967 and was a lifelong resident of Conroe, Texas until her husband passed away in 2013, at which time she went to live with her son. She worked for over 30 years in the public health field. First for the Montgomery County Health Department and finally with the University of Texas Medical branch. Barbara married the love of her life, Quitman Rayford Morrow, on August 18, 1967 at First Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan Pope Coleman and Mary Katherine Lesley Coleman; her husband, Quitman Rayford Morrow, Sr., and her sister, Brenda Paulette Oliver. She is survived by her loving son, Quitman Rayford Morrow, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Angela of Hallettsville, Texas; grandchildren, Caleb, Andrew, Bella and Katelyn of Hallettsville, Texas; her brother, Michael Gene Coleman and his wife Gayle of Spring, Texas and sister, Debbie Gail Grisham and her husband Tom of Huntsville, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be in the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10am. Burial will follow in the Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be: Caleb Morrow, Kerry Namken, James Coker, Walter Henry, Tom Grisham and Wayne Oliver.
