The Guest Book is expired.

On December 26th a powerful joyful soul left us. Though permanently disabled when struck by a car on Good Friday at the age of eight and despite her many challenges and handicaps from the accident, she lived a very full and fruitful life of 71 years. Even after, a stroke ten years ago, she rarely complained and had an instant smile when engaged in conversation and a ready wit and delightful sense of humor. She lived as we all aspire, with no concern for the past or future, only looking for joy in the present. This trait was infectious to all that came in contact with her.

Bela Patricia was born on May 31, 1945 in Birmingham Alabama. She grew up in Austin, Texas and moved to San Antonio in the early 60's, the home of her husband, Clarence Cannon. It was there that she lived most of her adult life until his death in 2005, after which, she moved to Conroe. Some of her happiest years were spent with daily visits to the Conroe Friendship Center before her stroke, where she was very active in their many outstanding activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William David and Reba Lanet Parsons and her husband, Clarence Leon Cannon. Ms. Cannon is survived by her daughter, Bela and her husband, Clint Casey. She is survived by four grandchildren: Dylan Everett Casey, Kaitlyn Noelle Casey, Dakota Arlene Casey, and Keaton Allen Casey, all from Willis. Bela Patricia also leaves brothers, David Parsons (Conroe), Donnie Parsons (Norman, OK), Jerry Parsons (Norman, OK), a Sister in law, Kathy Graves of San Antonio and many nephews and nieces. Special thanks and appreciation to Bela Patricia's very special friend, Jose; and the extraordinary nurses and staff at Conroe Health Care for being a loving adjunct family for over ten years.

There will be no local service. She will be buried with her late husband, Clarence in the San Patricio Catholic Cemetery.
