Bernadine Holle Behring was born in Brenham, Texas September 29, 1927 and died on March 23rd, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. She was the daughter of Lena H. (Nolte) and Alfred W. Holle.

She graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston, attended Texas Lutheran College and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.

On December 11, 1949 she married Melvin Allen Behring at Faith Lutheran Church in Bellaire and they shared 50 years of marriage before his death in January 2000. Mel and Bea made their home in Dallas for approximately forty years. Upon her retirement as a Marketing Executive, she and her husband moved to Seguin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bishop Reginald Holle; husband and son, Don Thomas. She is survived by a daughter, Holly Crowl and her husband, Bill of Conroe; son, Bruce Allen and his wife, Terri of Chico and three wonderful grandchildren, Chad, Kyle and his wife Megan, and Kimberly Crowl of Conroe. Also, a sister-in-law Marla Holle of Lansing, Michigan, a niece, Joan Long and her husband, Dennis of Cincinnati, Todd and his wife Jeannine of New Era, Michigan; four great-nephews, Andrew and Jacob Long, John Holle, and Noah Elhard, and his wife, Erin along with many friends including Patrick Steed who visited her regularly and former business associates.

She was a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallas where she was an officer and an active member of Christ Lutheran Church Women. In Seguin, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and served as president of Faith Women of the ELCA. She was also a board member and officer of Church Women United of Guadalupe County.

In the fall of 2000, she moved to Conroe to be near her family. After moving to Conroe she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and their WELCA Bible Study Group. She also volunteered in the church office as a "Grace Angel" for many years. Bea was a member of the Assistance League of Montgomery County and a volunteer for the Library Friends of Conroe.

The family would like to thank the loving caregivers of Village Green Alzheimer's Care Home, her longtime caregiver Lovie Gite, and her friends at Grace Lutheran Church who visited her often.

Memorial Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Conroe on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Jim Hinkhouse will conduct the service. She will be inurned next to her husband at Faith Lutheran Church Columbarium in Seguin, Texas. A short service of inurnment will be held for her family at that time.

A reception will be held at Grace Lutheran Church immediately following the service. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Conroe or Texas Lutheran University. "Just as I am, without one plea, But thy blood was shed for me, And thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come."
