Bertha Mae Ausband Parrish of Conroe, TX was born May 31st, 1927 and went to be with the Lord on June 10th, 2016, at the beautiful age of 89. She was born in Fuqua, TX to Henry Lowell Ausband and Edna Jane Magee Ausband. Bertha married Burke Culpepper Parrish in 1948, which went to be with the Lord on November27, 1978. She is by survived her three daughters, Sharon Lynn Lawrence, Patricia Ann Richardson and Mary Frances Strong, nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Bertha was a pillar of strength to all who knew and loved her. She was strong in will, however, small in stature and her home was always a place of refuge. Bertha loved to cook and enjoyed listening to country music and being surrounded by family and friends. Her beloved dog ET Gut was always by her side. Special thanks to Heather Austin and Steve Tarver for opening their home to the Parrish family in the final days of Bertha's life. Your love and generosity is greatly appreciated. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 14th 2016 at 10:00 am at Copeland Chapel Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them also that love his appearing." -2 Timothy 4:7-8.
