Betty Colleen Kelley Hinsley, 79, of Conroe Texas, left us to meet her heavenly father on October 24, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11 AM, in the The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors, 1504 N Thompson St, Conroe, TX 77301, 936-756-2210. Betty was born in Galveston, TX on February 27, 1938 to Lillian Maude and Estes A Kelley. She attended Milby High School in Houston, TX when she met and married the love of her life Herman "Wayne" Hinsley on February 8, 1956. Betty held many jobs during her life but her role as wife and mother was the most important. She owned a skating rink in Houston and later when she moved to Conroe she worked for Flowers Baking Company. Betty had a very green thumb, she could grow anything, she loved flowers, fruit trees and anything she could make a cutting of and stick it in the ground to see if it would grow! Betty loved the Lord, everywhere she went and every person she came in contact with was a chance for her to spread God's word. Her most memorable trip was to Israel, she absolutely loved walking on the same path as Jesus and learning so many new things. She was a prayer warrior, praying constantly for her family and friends. She was part of a big network of prayer warriors across the United States. Her close personal relationship with God pulled her through many hardship that she encountered in her life. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Wayne" Hinsley; son, Michael Dewayne Hinsley; granddaughter, Heather Lorene Hinsley Jennings and brother Donald Stewart Kelley. Betty is survived by her son, Larry Wayne Hinsley and wife Dorothy; son, David Keith Hinsley and wife Janelle; daughter, Sheryl Lynn Martin and husband Brad; daughter Donna Kay Sample and husband Mike. Grandchildren, Josh Hinsley, Kim Colvin, Melissa Wilson, Melanie Creel, Stephanie Phillips, Jessica Brussel, Courtney Caswell, Matthew Hogan and Dustin Hogan. Sixteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.
