Betty was born in Houston, Texas on August 7, 1925 and passed away February 19, 2012 in Montgomery, Texas.

Betty was raised in Houston and graduated from John H. Reagan High School. She worked for Universal Urethane for many years and upon retirement moved to Montgomery, Texas in 1990. She was active in so many things in Montgomery; Montgomery Civic Association, Montgomery Historical Society, Montgomery Lion's Club and the local AARP Chapter. She loved doing anything she could for her community.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Sidney "Mac" Marvin McKenzie, Sr, and Mary Ella Davis McKenzie; her sister Agnes Pauline McKenzie Glispin; brother-in-law Norman Frank and a nephew Sidney Marvin McKenzie III. She is survived by her sister, Anna Cecil McKenzie Frank, a brother Sidney Marvin McKenzie, Jr. and wife Sally, plus numerous other nieces and nephews.

Betty was a 20-year member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church, where she met and enjoyed many friends and neighbors. A special thanks to all the caregivers that helped Betty over the years.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 23rd at the Montgomery United Methodist Church, 22548 Highway 105, Montgomery, Texas 77356. Rev. Hiram "Doc" Jones will be officiating.
