Betty Rash, 69, of Conroe, Texas, lover of travel and strong cup of coffee, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2013 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Howard Rash; sisters, Gail Gilmore and Claudia Tutter; and her brothers, Henry Gilmore and Jack Gilmore. She is survived by her loving family: son, Johnny Carson and wife, Deborah; daughter, Leslie Rash and husband, Troy Baker; sisters, Ruth Bartlett and Lavonne Petrich; grandchildren, Nicole Donaldson and husband, Joshua and Kelly Carson; great grandson, Eli Donaldson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other dear relatives and friends.

Betty worked in retail jewelry sales for Foley's (Macy's) at Greenspoint and The Woodlands Mall for over 30 years before retiring in 2008. Known for her ease in conversation with even total strangers, her fondness for adventure, and her ever present smile, Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ron Ellis officiating.
