Buell "Bill" William Englert passed away Christmas day in Montgomery, TX. He was born July 25, 1952 in Fallbrook, CA. and was raised in Ft. Stockton, TX before residing in Montgomery.

Bill served his country in the Army through the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroics. During his lifetime, he owned several of his own businesses including contracting and surveying. He also survived a lightning strike several years ago in which his grand- kids gave him the nickname he loved so much: Flash-Pa.

Bill is preceded in death by his father Victor E. Englert. He is survived by his mother- Dorothy L. Englert (91 yrs) of Ft Stockton, TX; children- Jennifer Trahan and husband Chip of Rye, CO, Scott Englert and wife Terri of Seagoville, TX, and Bryan Englert and wife Elaina of Rye, CO; grandchildren- Brittney, Zachary, Christian, Jasmin, Jayden, Emersyn, and Caydence; brothers- Jerry Englert and wife Linda of Snyder, TX, and Ricky Logan and wife Melissa of Beaumont, TX; Numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, other family members and friends are also left to treasure his memory.

A memorial will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 at Metcalf Funeral Directors at 6:00pm. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX at 10:30am.
