age 85 of Montgomery, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 30, 2014. Billie passed away peacefully. Billie was born on December 20, 1928 to A.J. (Dock) Martin and Wilma Buchanan Martin.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband Howard Sanders. They were married on July 12, 1947. Billie was also preceded in death by her parents; A.J. (Dock) and Wilma Martin; her sisters Matti Jo Hill, Wilma Dee Justice; and great grandson Ty Foster.

Billie is survived by her sons; Neal Sanders and wife Julia of Montgomery, Mark Sanders and wife Pam of Montgomery. Billie is survived by two sisters; Joyce Price of Montgomery, Tina Padon and husband Gary of Conroe, brother Docky Martin and wife Mary of Montgomery. Billie is also survived by four grandchildren; Charlsie Sanders of Plano, Kevin Sanders of Montgomery, Lori Sanders of Montgomery, and Marcy Sanders of Montgomery; three great grandchildren; Ayden Leitz of Montgomery, Tucker Foster, of Montgomery and Lane Steele of Montgomery; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Billie had the sweetest, most kind soul and her love will be greatly missed. Billie retired from Montgomery ISD Administration. Billie enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach, and going to the casinos. Billie had a love for bird watching from her front porch. Every time she saw a bird that she didn't recognize, she would pull her bird book out and search for the bird and read all about it. She loved being on the beach searching for sea shells and loved to go fishing. All of Billie's grandchildren and great grandchildren called her Mimi.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3rd at 10 am at the funeral home with burial following in the Martin Cemetery, Montgomery, Texas.
