Billy Haynes (Bill) was born December 29, 1932 in Eastland County, Texas to William Flint and Ora Herring Haynes. He left this earth on November 24, 2017. He is survived by Carmelita, his wife of 64 years and son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Linda Haynes.

Bill graduated from Carbon High School and Cisco Junior College. He spent two years after that in the Army, in Germany. His adult life was spent working in the oil patch in Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. He worked nineteen and half years for Lone Star Producing Company and fifteen years for Tenneco Oil Company in Houston. After retiring from Tenneco, he did consulting work for Phillips and Newfield. He was known as an expert in drilling.

Bill loved sports. He was an avid golfer and hunter as long as his health permitted. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care and kindness.

Visitation will be held November 29, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX. Funeral services will be held November 30, 2017 at 10:00am at First Baptist Church, New Waverly with Brother J.D. Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, TX.
