Bobby W. Elliott passed away on July 31st, 2015, in Conroe, Texas.

Bob was born on Feb. 9th, 1942, in Coleman County Texas, to James C. and Annie Jones Elliott, and was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry G. Elliott.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Cynthia J. Elliott; his children Carl W. Elliott, Holly Tindel, Coy Smith, and Joe Smith; brothers Lewis and Charles Edward Elliott; sister Ruthie Barker and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Iraan High School and attended San Angelo College before entering the oil patch working as a roughneck and driller for Rowan Drilling Company. He quickly moved up the ranks and later took a job as drilling supervisor for Superior Oil Company and retired from that same position years later with Mobil Oil. Bob ' s deep understanding and knowledge of the oil business combined with his love of the job pulled him out of early retirement to work as a consultant for the El Paso Oil Company for another 10 years.

Bob really enjoyed his friends and family especially when a funny story or joke was part of the mix.

He loved sports (notably football), hunting, fishing, golf (sometimes) and a good game of bridge, dominoes, and poker.

The family greatly appreciates the love and support of the Longmire Church of Christ and the Panorama Village community.

Many thanks to all his friends who visited him often during the last two months.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3rd between 5-7 p.m. and the memorial service will begin at 12:30pm Tuesday, both at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road in Conroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to:
