Our beloved husband, father and pastor went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 13, 2011.

Jack was born on March 17, 1932 in Montevallo, Alabama and lived in Conroe, Texas where he was the pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Jack lived an authentic Christian life, full of integrity and truly loved people. He had a great sense of humor and touched many lives through his ministry.

Jack leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Catherine, two loving daughters, Deborah Edwards (Dale) and Renee Trimble (Nelson). Two grandchildren, Leah Smith (Bryan) and Justin Overall (Leah) and four great-grandchildren Alex, Ava, Carter and Blake. He also leaves two spiritual daughters, Patty King and Kathy Auld along with a loving congregation and a host of friends who was his family. The family would like to thank Edward M. Flores, M.D. for his loving guidance, spiritual strength and especially his prayers that ushered the very presence of God into Jack's hospital room. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's name, be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Attention Treasurer, 2405 Old Hwy 105 West, Conroe, TX 77304. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, December 17, 2011. (Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 3967 Old Hwy 105 West, Conroe, TX 77304).
