Carl Eugene Oermann


Carl Eugene Oermann, 83, passed away January, 20, 2012 at his residence in Montgomery, Texas. Mr. Oermann was born to Karl and Augusta Oermann in York, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1928. He was the youngest of four children. He graduated from York High School in 1947 and went on to York Junior College graduating in 1952 majoring in theology and majored in German at Wheaten College. He was inducted into the Army July 29, 1953. Mr. Oermann was awarded the World War II Army of Occupation Medal for service in Germany, the National Defense Service Medal for sevice during the Korean War, the Army Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged on August 2, 1961.

Mr. Oermann is survived by his two brothers, Helmut Oerman and Ervin Oermann, his daughter, Marcia Stoppelberg, two sons, Stephen Oermann and Mark Oermann. He is further survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Hilda McCloskey, and his wife, Mary Oermann. His funeral service will be held Sunday February 5th at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Magnolia. 18525 F.M. 1488 Magnolia, Texas 77354. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the First Baptist Church of Magnolia Mission Trip Fund. The interment of ashes will be at Dubs Cemetery in Marburg, Pennsylvania.
