Carl Lee Williams passed away December 4, 2017 at the age of 59.

Carl was born on October 18, 1958 in Portland, Oregon to Clarence Lee and JoAnn (Linkhart) Williams. His dad Clarence was a HVAC duct worker while his mom took care of the home. Growing up in Houston as the only boy with three sisters, he spent a lot of time outside shooting birds with his pellet gun. As he grew older, he continued to love the outdoors, hunting and fishing as often as he could. He also spent as much time as he could with his high school sweetheart, Tammy. Carl met Tamara Gayle Tinnin "Tammy" in Ag class at Conroe High School. They dated throughout high school and married a year after graduation, on September 9, 1978, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe.

Carl was lucky to be able to support his family, which grew to include two daughters, by doing something he loved dearly. Being a hunting guide and a taxidermist allowed Carl to hunt all over the world. Three months after his heart attack he was able to go on his dream hunt on an African Safari with Tammy and were even able to go on an Alaskan cruise together. Carl loved seeing all the incredible wildlife there. He also enjoyed cattle ranching and taking care of the calves. Once his grandchildren came along, he was thrilled to be able to share his passion for hunting and fishing with the next generation. He was a proud member of Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited, and the Cattlemen's Association.

Carl loved to pick on people. If he could get a rise out of someone, his day was made. He was a wonderful grandfather and loved every minute he could spend with his three grandkids. He leaves behind his beloved wife Tammy, his daughter and son-in-law Codi and Thomas Waneck of Iola, his daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Marcus Flores of Navarre, Florida, his grandkids Landen Flores, Sierra Waneck, and Camryn Flores, his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Leslie Smith of Spring, Texas, his sister Cathy Lorance of Conroe, and his sister Pam Lowry of Conroe. His lab Duke and his fat cat Max will also miss being spoiled with ten feedings a day.

To honor Carl's life, there will be a Celebration Gathering at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station on Thursday, December 7 from 5 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Carl's Life will be at 11 AM, Friday, December 8 at Evergreen Church in Iola with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery and then a reception back at Evergreen Church.
