He had been a Christian since 1953 and a member of First Baptist Conroe for 40 years. His faith had especially deepened in the last fifteen years. Dale was born in Greenwood, Mississippi to Bud and Louella Thrasher. He joins them and his daughter, Susan Jan, in Heaven. Dale had been married to his surviving wife, Nancy for 58 wonderful years. They have a son, Larry Thrasher and wife, Julie; daughter, Lisa Higgins and husband, Bari. Four beloved grandsons delighted Dale. They are Alan Bagwell, Jacob Thrasher, Cole Higgins and Corey Higgins. Alan and his wife, Lisa presented two great grandchildren, Brandon and Emily. Dale has two sisters, Lida Allen of Shreveport, and Peggy Ray and husband, Don of Carthage, Mississippi. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and former co-workers. Dale enjoyed getting together with his extended families on both his and Nancy's sides of the families. IN retirement, he enjoyed traveling and cruising. His travel highlight was walking where Paul walked and preached in Ephesus in Turkey. Dale lived life to the fullest. He served two years in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed piloting his own planes, stock car racing, parachute jumping, motor-bike riding, fishing and golfing. He was a natural mechanic and retired from Maritime ILA Local 24 after 30 years of service. You are invited to leave written condolences to the family at www.cashnerconroe.com
