She had been living at the Regent Care Center in The Woodlands, TX, after a major stroke in 2007. Carol was the oldest of four children, brother -Jimmy Manos, sister - Barbara Morrison (deceased), and youngest sister, Wanda Klodginski (deceased). She spent most of her early life in the panhandle of Texas on a dairy farm, surviving the dust bowl, the depression and World War II. Her family eventually settled here in Conroe in the 1944. While attending Conroe high school, she met Charles Grabein. She married him in October of 1950 following the death of her father in a gas line explosion in October of 1949. Carol and Charles were married for 48 years. Together they have 5 children who survive her today. Carol's greatest love was working with children which she did as a school secretary for many years. Carol will be remembered as a giving, creative soul who loved nothing more to talk about her children, grandchildren and great-grand children.
