Carol Jackson, 66, returned to her heavenly home on December 9, 2014 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her firm but gentle belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Carol was born March 24, 1948 in Galveston, TX. She was blessed with a loving family and married her childhood sweetheart, Larry Jackson. They had one son, Tommy B. Jackson. Carol retired from Metro after 30+ years. Her passions included studying the Word of God and teaching Sunday School. She is a member of Mims Baptist Church.

Carol is survived by her husband, Larry Jackson; daughter-in-law, Jacinda Jackson; grandchild Jeneesa Jackson; brother, Clent Brown; sister, Betty Whittington; many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Tommy B. Jackson; her parents, Finnis and Alvie Smith; brothers, Dalton and Calvin Brown.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Metcalf Funeral Directors, Conroe, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Rockco Funeral Home, Centreville, AL.
