Charlene Jean Klein went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 79 after a long battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. She was born on November 25, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa but spent most of her life in Texas with the last 12 years in Montgomery.

At the age of 18, she enlisted in the Army where she served her country from 1956-57. The majority of her career was spent working in the insurance field, at both Aetna and Farmers. The most important things in her life were her Savior, her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and giving person who would do anything to help. She did not treasure material things but treasured those things in life that would leave an everlasting impression on others. She was also an animal lover and was known to give food or water to any animal in need.

Charlene leaves behind her son, Michael McGowan and wife Eva of South Carolina; daughter Debbie DePaul and husband Dennis of Montgomery, TX and her son Keith Klein and wife Dustie of Willis, TX. She was blessed with her grandchildren; Matthew McGowan, Daniel McGowan and wife Tara, Emily Hall and her husband Ben, Hannah Muehr, Amanda Klein, Montana Klein and Dawson Asher; one great granddaughter, Arrisa McGowan.

Visitation will be held at Living Savior Lutheran Church 309 Pond Street Montgomery, TX 77356 on Thursday, August 18th at 10am with funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial with be at 2:15pm the same day at the Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
