Charles A. Williams passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born January 27, 1933 in Louisiana but lived in Texas all of his life. He grew up in Conroe, graduated from Conroe High School in 1951, attended A & M for a short while then he served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps. Charles was married to Arlene for 42 years and he worked for Monsanto/Solutia Chemical Company in Alvin, Texas for 32 years. He returned to Conroe in the year 2000.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, A T., and Pauline Williams, his wife Arlene, his son Mark Williams and Trey Brackin, his grandson.

Charles always enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, biking, anything outdoors and after he retired he went on numerous cruises including Alaska, Mexico and the Caribbean. He was a great do-it-yourself guy, very inventive in building things. He will be missed by his son Troy and his wife Debbie and their daughters Amy and Chrystal, Joshua Williams, his grandson, his sister Joyce Beckwith, his nieces Nathanne Tankersley, Laura and Lauren Jones and many cousins, friends and especially Bettie Patterson, his long-time friend and her family.

A Memorial service will be held January 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Conroe Funeral Home Chapel (the old historic St. James Episcopal Church) on 1504 N. Thompson Street, Conroe, Texas.
