Charles Francis Kirwan of Richmond, Texas passed away peacefully on December 28, 2013. He was born in Queens, New York and moved to Texas in 1967. Charlie was a Vietnam Veteran, retired Sgt with Fort Bend County PCT 3, wonderful father, husband, brother, trusted friend and patriot who served his country and community. He was one of the original members of the HLSR Cook-off team, The Brisket Cases. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and going hunting, fishing, golfing and riding his Harley.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father, James Kirwan of Queens, NY, his mother, Catherine Flynn-Kirwan of Yonkers, NY and wife, Janice Jacobson-Kirwan.

Charlie is survived by his brother, James Kirwan of Columbus, OH, sister, Diane Kirwan, OP of New Hyde Park, NY, his former wifeand dear friend, Kathy Kirwan of Montgomery, TX, son, Charles Kirwan (Kelli) of Havelock, NC, daughter, Kathy Kirwan-Jackson (Stan) of Montgomery, TX and son, Daniel Kirwan of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Victoria Kirwan-Stephens (Kyle), Wade Kirwan, Rebekah Kirwan, Joseph Kirwan, Sam Kirwan, Adam Kirwan, William Jackson, Shannon Jackson, Riley Kirwan, Aiden Kirwan, Ethan Kirwan and Camden Kirwan; great grandchildren, Fox and Ryker Stephens.

A memorial service will be held January 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to in memory of Charlie.
