Charles Richard Musick, 75, passed away on November 24, 2011, at his home in Conroe. Richard, his preferred name, was born on December 14, 1935, in Houston, Texas.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Charles Riley Musick and Margaret Louise Musick; and his sister Mary Catherine White.

He is survived by his son Damon Musick and wife Cecilia Musick; his daughter Christine LaPerna and husband Lawrence E. LaPerna; his brother John R. "Buddy" Musick and wife Suzanne Musick. He is also survived by grandchildren - Ryan Musick, Ashley Musick, Sarah LaPerna, and Lawrence L. LaPerna.

Richard was self employed as a tropical fish farmer for the majority of his life. Because of his chosen field, he was often referred to as "Fish Paw Paw" by his grandchildren.

He graduated from the University of Texas in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management. While at The University of Texas, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a member of the Society for the Advancement of Management. After graduating from The University of Texas he became a member of the Air National Guard for a number of years.

Richard was a devoted father and Christian man who was known for his charm and unselfish attitude. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011, in Metcalf Funeral Chapel.
