age 65, passed away on August 11, 2014. She was born on December 23, 1948 in Galveston, Texas to the late Henry and Elsie Miller. She spent her early childhood in the Bellaire area and graduated from Westbury High School. She received her BS degree in Teaching and Education from Sam Houston State University before teaching at Washington Jr. High and Moorehead Jr. High in Conroe, Texas. Cheryl had always wanted to be a teacher and loved her students and teaching.

She was preceded in death by her loving and caring family and friends, Beula and Alfred Robinson and their daughter Helen, and her mother, Elsie Jaye. She is survived by her husband, Al Woodum; children, Stasie Potts and husband Brian, Melissa Cartwright and Allen Woodum; grandchildren, Trasie, Scott and William Potts, Lily Cartwright and Sebastain Rall; siblings, Jan and Jim Moon and Charlotte Miller; aunt, Shirley Wendelken.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 pm until 9 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N. Frazier at Wilson, Ste 115, Conroe, Texas 77301. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church, 1115 Houston St, Conroe, Texas 77301. Graveside services and interment will be held in Conroe Memorial Park. A reception will follow the graveside services. Those wishing to post tributes and memories to the family may do so at
