Clyde Jeffery Weems, Sr. 88 years old of Willis, Texas passed away after a brief illness in hospice care in Conroe, Texas.

Clyde was born April 18, 1929 to Arnold and Gladys Weems in Newton, Mississippi. He had two brothers, Leon and James (Demp) and one sister, Helen. Clyde married Ann Lovil on April 26, 1952 in Texarkana, Texas. Most of his career was in commercial construction as a superintendent and inspector. Clyde served in the United States Air Force.

Clyde loved to bowl, hunt and fish. He was also a good farmer planting vegetable gardens and even planting a small fruit orchard at his place in Willis.

He is survived by his children Jeff and (Debbie) Weems, Cindy Weems, Lee Weems, Bobby and (Rene) Weems, and Cheri Weems, eleven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren, his sister Helen Rodgers and brother James Weems, and nine nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Weems, and his brother Leon Weems.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas.

The funeral will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 West, Willis, Texas at 9:00 am Thursday, August 10, 2017, with Pastor Alan Splawn officiating of the Woodlands Church.
