Coye Ann Thompson Tow (Grammy) passed away with many family and friends at her side on December 2, 2011 in Huntsville, TX at the age of 82. She was born on April 22, 1929 in Eastland County, TX. She graduated from Eastland High School at the age of 15 and then attended college at Mary Hardin Baylor. Ann and her husband of 61 years, Doyle Claylon Tow, moved to Conroe in 1952 where they raised four children and established multiple business interests in Conroe and Montgomery County. She and Doyle lived a life of hard work and great fun, including safari trips, piloting and other adventures. She was active in her church and in Bible Study Fellowship. She moved to Huntsville in 2008 where she continued to make friends and be involved in new activities.

Ann was a strong, adventurous woman whose Christian walk was evident whether she was sewing a dress for one of her daughters, having coffee with a friend or hunting bear in Alaska with her husband. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Huntsville and was loved and admired by all who met her.

Grammy is survived by daughter, Pamela Tow Markham, and husband G.K. (Jeff) Markham, son, Rodney Tow and wife, Linda Tow, daughter, Patricia Tow Perry, daughter-in-law, Melinda Tow, grandchildren: Kevin Markham and wife, Cindy Markham, David Markham, and wife Kathy Markham, Lauren Tow, Christopher Tow, Paul Tow, Patrick Tow, great-grandchildren: Mason Markham, Coyann Markham, Baylee Markham, Corrie Markham, sister, Dorothy Thompson Williams, and husband Chuck Williams, and dear friends and caregivers: Charlotte Short, Cookie Davis, Tywaneisha Spiller, Kirsten Samuel.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Doyle Claylon Tow, son, Randall Tow, father, Silas Coy Thompson, mother, Beatrice Fleming Thompson Lewey, step-father, H.L. Lewey.

Visitation is Wednesday, December 7 at 1:30 pm at Cashner's Funeral Home, Conroe, TX with services to follow at 3 pm.
