Mr. Craig Thane Bubier of Conroe,Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the age of 66.

Craig was born to parents, Erland B. Bubier and Clara Lee Trott on January 31, 1948 in Bethesda, Md. He grew up as the older brother to Christine Turnage Bubier and attended Potomac High School in Prince Georges County, Maryland.

He served in the US Army from 1967 - 1970 and completed a tour of duty in Viet Nam, serving as a Combat Medic, attaining the rank E-4 and being awarded a Purple Heart, the Viet Nam Achievement Award and an Expert Marksman award.

Craig married Mary Janette Yohe in 1972 and the couple had two children, Season and Thomas.

Craig became a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in 1980 and was the president and founding member of Survtech Corporation in Conroe, Texas. He was also a registered surveyor in the State of Nevada.

After returning from the war in Viet Nam Craig spent the rest of his life dedicated to the causes of peace and charity. He became an active member of Veterans For Peace and worked for the Montgomery County Food Bank. He also dedicated much time, effort and love to the rescue of stray animals in every neighborhood in which he lived or operated a business.

Craig is survived by his wife, Mary Janette, their daughter Season and her husband Steven, his son, Thomas and his grandchildren, Ashley, Zoe, Guin and Thane. He is preceded in death by his father, Erland, his mother, Clara Lee, and his sister, Christine.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Thursday, October 8 at 3:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas. 77303. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Texas Litter Control, 24950 Spring Ridge Dr. Bldg.B, Spring,Texas 77386
