Curtis Bob Aldridge, 78, of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully at his home August 15, 2013. Curtis was born March 31, 1935 in South Bosque, TX and is preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Lethia Mae Aldridge of Waco, TX as well as 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bobbye Aldridge of Conroe; his sister, Faye Edge of Waco; his daughters Donna Ivy & husband Dennis Ivy of Huntsville, Janna Buchanan of Conroe, Lori Day & husband Daryl Day of Montgomery; his grandchildren Jarrod Ivy, Leslie Driggers, Katelyn Coats, Jessica Buchanan, Jamie Altman, and Timothy Day; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous close family friends.

Curtis graduated from Waco High School in 1954 and met his wife Bobbye while they were working together at Safeway in Waco. There he became store manager before going on to work at Piggly Wiggly in Rockdale and Conroe. He retired from Frito Lay in Conroe after 25 years of service. Curtis enjoyed boating and fishing, wood work, and visiting with his many family members and friends. His sense of humor and elaborate stories will be greatly missed. Curtis truly lived for his family and touched the lives and hearts of everyone he met.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 5:00-8:00PM at Conroe Funeral Directors, in Conroe. A chapel funeral service will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1:00PM at Conroe Funeral Directors with a graveside interment immediately following at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Silverado Hospice, and to his caretaker, Gertrude McGraw.
