David Richardson age 70, was born in Estes Park, Colorado on January 25, 1947 and passed into the arms of Jesus on May 31, 2017.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Kaye Richardson; mother, Violet Richardson, father, Doyle Richardson; and his brother Larry Richardson. David is survived by his son, Brad Richardson, wife Tonya; daughter, Shae Richardson, and his four grandchildren; Cameron Richardson, Hayden Richardson, Bryce Richardson, and Shelby Richardson.

David and his family moved to the Houston area where he went to Galena Park High School and played football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated in 1965. David then signed a football scholarship with the University of Houston and later transferred to SHSU. It is there he met the love of his life and wife, Kaye Richardson (Williams).

After graduating from SHSU, David joined the Houston Police Department on June 5, 1978, Academy Class #82. He served honorably for 25 years. David retired on February 28, 2003. After retirement he spent time enjoying his family and grandchildren which were his pride and joy.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 10-11:00 AM at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 22548 Highway 105 West, Montgomery, Texas 77356. Services beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Hiram "Doc" Jones officiating.
