David Warren Jung, 78, of Conroe, Texas lived his life for his family and friends. He passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Mary Lou Jung, at his side on February 1, 2013, after an extended illness. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 11, 1934. Education was important to David. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tulane University, and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard.

David was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed playing tennis and was famous for his jokes and stories. Helping young people in the Sea Scouts was dear to his heart. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter and had a long career in the insurance and financial planning industry for over fifty-five years. He and his wife, Mary Lou, own the Blossom Flower Shop in Conroe, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Suzanne and his sister, Dorothy Williams. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Mary Lou; son and wife, Steve and Donna; daughter, Dionne, and husband, Gary; daughter, Melanie and beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and sister, Claire Cowort.

Visitation will be held on Monday, the fourth of February, at Metcalf Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, the fifth of February at 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Conroe, Texas.
