Dennis C. Ditrich, 73, of Montgomery, TX and formerly of Erie passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at CHI St. Luke's Hospital Houston, TX.

He was born on September 30, 1943 in Erie, son of the late Robert C. Ditrich Sr. and Helen A. (Chervenka) Ditrich.

Dennis obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Gannon University. He resided in three states and traveled the world as a salesman and executive for several oil & gas equipment companies. He was well recognized in his industry and served on several API committees that govern measurement & control of petroleum products before retirement in 2009.

Denny was an avid golfer and was president of the Bentwater Men's Golf Association in Montgomery, Texas.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Georgiann (Chriest) Ditrich; brother, Robert C. Ditrich, Jr., nephew Robert III, niece Dawn Marie and sister-in-law, Linda Ditrich.

He is survived by his brother, Norman Ditrich and his wife, Judith of Humble, TX; 13 nieces & nephews, many great nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 845 East 38th St., Pine Avenue Branch, on Wednesday, May 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service at the funeral home on Thursday, May 18th at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Boniface Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. of Olives Cemetery.
