Dick Frank of Montgomery, Texas left his world to be with the Lord on April 3rd at the age of 83. He was born in the small community of Coushatta between Bellville and Sealy, Texas to Edgar and Hilda Frank December 19th 1929. Dick attended Sealy High School, and lettered in football for four years. He earned the nick name of 'Scat Back' for his running abilities. After graduating in 1947 he joined the navy and was assigned to the Seabees where he spent 18 months in the rebuilding of Guam, which was destroyed during WWII. Dick retired in 1985 after 25 years of service from Columbian Carbon in Conroe. Dick and Jean married in 1950; seven years later moved to Conroe and made it their home for 56 years. Working shift work at the plant as an instrument technician, and with Jean's support raised five boys with never a complaint. Dick was also well known in the county for being a knowledgeable horse and cattleman. He was always there to help a friend, build a fence, round up his cows, or tend to the horses. Dick also loved pecan pie and his sister in law, Clata always made one for his birthday. He was a man of honesty and integrity and was generous throughout his years. Dick Loved The Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Sr. and Hilda Frank, son Michael Wayne Frank, granddaughter Amber Lynn Frank, brother, Dan Frank and sister, Lucille Steck. He is survived by his wife Jean of 62 years, sons Jamie and wife Vickie of Montgomery, Gary of Montgomery, Russell and his wife Terrie of Aledo, Texas, Ronald and fiancé' Irma, of Buckeye, Arizona and his brother, Douglas and wife Lana of Friendswood. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Heather, Amanda, Tara, Meaghan, Adam and Casey as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Jaydlyn, Skyler, Lily, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe on Friday, April 5th from 5-7PM. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00am at Cashner Funeral Home with interment following in Garden Park Cemetery.
