Dee Berryman passed away in her home on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the age of 82.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Lee and Jack Stark, and her brother, Richard Stark.

Dee is survived by her loving husband, John, her daughter Barbie and husband Blake Felton, her grandchildren, Brett and Leah Felton, all of The Woodlands, her sister Linda and husband Joe and their children of San Angelo, Texas, and brother Charles and his wife Thresea and their children of the Dallas area.

Dee was born in Garland, Texas the oldest of four children. The family later moved to Belton, Texas, where Dee was the valedictorian of her high school class. She received a scholarship to Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, where she attended for one year, subsequently transferring to Southwest Texas State Teacher's College in San Marcos. There she received her Master's Degree in Speech Therapy. Dee practiced speech therapy for 10 years in the Corpus Christi, Texas school system. Corpus Christi is where she met and married her husband, John, of 54 years. She gave birth to a daughter, Barbara (Barbie), in 1963.

Dee and John moved to Houston in 1964, where Dee became the Pre-School Director for Kinkaid School, teaching and testing pre-schoolers for 25 years. Dee retired in 1993 to April Sound in South Lake Conroe and later to The Woodlands.

Throughout her life Dee was a member of The American Speech and Hearing Association, Nat'l Storytellers Association, Houston and National Assoc. for the Education of Young Children, and The Junior League of Houston. Dee was a also a member of and volunteered for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, The April Sound Ladies Association, Assistance League of Conroe, Lake Conroe Area Republican Women and Montgomery County Performing Arts Society. Dee and John were members of Chapelwood Methodist Church and later April Sound Church.

Dee's passions were Bridge, Crafts, Photography, her sorority and Book Club. She was most passionate about being a mom and grandmother.

There will be a Memorial Service held this Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 PM at April Sound Church in Montgomery.
