Mrs. Vickery passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Dolores was born June 7, 1928 in Hargill, Texas.

Dolores Vickery dedicated her life to public school music education. She possessed a B.S. in Music Education, a M.A. in education and a Counselor's certificate from Sam Houston University. She was an accomplished pianist and volunteered many hours of music at the churches where she attended. Her love of music began at the age of 4 and continued throughout her life; she recorded her own CD, "Dolores' Table" in her late 70s which featured her piano stylings of Christian music. Her all-time favorite among friends and family gatherings was without doubt, "Dolores' Boogie".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel V. (Jackson) Phillips; husband, Albert F. Vickery and son-in-law, Leonard Weir.

She is survived by her children, Gary A. Vickery of Fort Worth and Cynthia E. Weir of Palestine; grandchildren, Shanna Weir Harris and Justin Weir; two great grandchildren, Jaidyn Kae Weir and Jackson Allen Harris.

Rather than customary condolences, memorials may be made to Point Blank Community Church, 432 Robinson Way, Point Blank, Texas 77364.
