died Saturday, February 18, 2016 in Navasota, Texas surrounded by his loving family. The youngest of six children born to Cora and Dewey Clark, Don was born August 14, 1943 in Mt. Olive, Mississippi and raised in the seaside city of Gulfport, Mississippi. He loved spending time with his siblings fishing and swimming in the local creeks, was an avid basketball player and loved building and racing cars up and down the Beach Blvd in Gulfport. In 1965, he married Annette Seals, had two children and worked in the construction field with his brothers. An iron worker by trade, he took great pride in his work. He moved to Texas in 1966 for better work opportunities. Racing was still in his blood and he raced stock cars at Moody-Clary speedway in Navasota, Texas, where he developed true friendships like Ted Dupal. After a divorce, he married Peggy Campbell and had two children. He was very proud of his work and eventually built a business installing glass walls and skylights in high-rise buildings like the Galleria in Dallas, Texas. He loved his coworkers and his work.

Don was preceded in death by a son, Donald Richard Clark; his mother, Cora Harvey Clark; his father, Dewey Clark; three brothers, Vernon, Robert and Ray Clark; and his beloved Aunt Myrtle.

He is survived by his children: Ginna Lynn Clark-Fuchs and husband Robert, Don Allen Clark Jr. and wife Taylor, and Christopher Alexander Clark; grandchildren: Jordan Robert Fuchs, Aaron Richard Fuchs, Ryan Allan Fuchs, and Logan Allen Clark; sisters: Jan Calcote and Dorothy Bankston; and many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Services will be held in his hometown of Gulfport, Mississippi in the month of his birth, August, where his loving family will carry out his wishes and spread his ashes. Those wishing to post tributes and memories to the family may do so at
